Love in the times of social media
Being brought up in the generation of gadgets, it is a real task for moms to keep our children grounded to emotions. Specially when they wake up and see their moms hooked on to their mobiles and before they sleep they see their dad hooked on to their laptops!
Not even children even sometimes our relationships take a back seat due to these gadgets and knowing all the cons we are still not ready to give up this "Prison".
I am not talking of screetime or no screentime here!
But being in a generation where everything else is already too hectic and time taking, why we still are not ready to compromise our gadgets to give some quality time to our family!
Frankly speaking every now and then i fight with my husbandman over this. His job is 90% on phone calls only and from his rest 10% , sometimes i have to literally beg for his attention.
Days goes by when he doesnt even hears what i am saying, sitting next to him!
So, this valentines day, when i got the opportunity to share my take on love, I wanted to be sure to elaborate this point so that everyone of you reading this, must pause, think and let go off your gadgets( even for a small period of time) and make memories instead!
The bestest of memories are always in which you even forget to take the clicks!
So, always remember , children never learn what we teach but they always learn what they see. Don't let technology take a primary seat and emotions be secondary in their lives. Let them learn that love is always superior to anything and everything in this world and specially the "Family Love"

ReplyDeleteHmm😊
DeleteI totally agree with you . Thanks to social media we tend to neglect the most important and real relationships
ReplyDeleteVery true, my 11 month literally pushes my phone away to get attention from me. Well written 👍
ReplyDeleteSadly we are loving virtual world more than real world these days.
ReplyDeleteSad but true we all are hooked on to the phones, smart phones are making us distant. Let's keep screen free, phone free times each day that should help.
ReplyDeleteI think what is of utmost importance is to learn how to maintain a healthy balance between gadgets and actual physical relationships. They both can co exist. It is all about knowing when to put which one on top.
ReplyDeleteShort and sweet post.. Nicely explained about our gadget freak generation
ReplyDeleteThe best moments rarely get clicked, its better to feel them n retain in our hearts
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, we used to say good night more to our gadgets than to each other. But cautiously we are avoiding it now
ReplyDeleteTrue technology has made us lame and highly depended on it. Things were far better earlier. It is a tough ask but can be done if we try.
ReplyDeleteLove your post...totally agree with your views about this...
